Sponsored by the Garden State Woman Education Foundation
The Annual Garden State Woman of the Year program, organized by Garden State Woman Magazine in 2005 has been recognizing truly remarkable New Jersey women and organizations committed to supporting women's efforts to grow and excel. The women selected demonstrate exceptional leadership in their chosen professional lives, have a commitment to and are making a difference in the lives of others through their community service and serve as inspirational role models for other women striving to improve their life and the lives of others.
Three types of organizations will be considered for the 6th Annual Garden State Woman of the Year awards. The first is any organization organized specifically to benefit its women members. The second is any organization that has developed its own internal women's initiative to further enhance the career development and lives of its women employees. The third is any corporation with a strong community outreach program.
Eligibility: Any women currently living in New Jersey and demonstrating the above characteristics is eligible. We expect any woman selected for a Garden State Woman of the Year Award to attend the 6th Annual Awards Luncheon being scheduled for March 4, 2011. Previous Garden State Woman of the Year Award Winners are not eligible. Women nominated previously may be nominated again.
The organizations eligible for awards must have been established an independent women's organization or an internal women's initiative within a larger organization or a community outreach program prior to January 1, 2007.
