We started the Garden State Woman Education Foundation in 2007 to assist inner city, high school seniors who've been accepted into New Jersey four-year colleges and universities. The scholarships we grant are not large, only $1,500 a year, but it is enough to help these young women get through their four years and go on to a career that will be meaningful to them, their families and the communities in which they live.
We are therefore asking you to take this opportunity to make a difference. If you or your company are interested in co-sponsoring a scholarship with Garden State Woman, we will jointly name the scholarship in both of our organizations' names and include opportunities for your company to be a mentoring resource for the young woman we support.
Individual support in any amount is also greatly appreciated. We, and the young women supported by this effort, will be grateful to you for whatever you can afford to give.
