Flynn-Hollander, Esq., who will serve as Corporate General Counsel for the hospital. In her new role, Flynn-Hollander will have responsibility for a broad range of legal services focusing on contracts, agreements, leases, employment and UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School-related matters, physician arrangements and medical staff issues, among others. She will be working closely with Corporate Compliance and senior management on regulatory affairs. Kathleen Waldron Assumes Presidency of William Paterson Univ Kathleen Waldron, Ph.D., the former president of Baruch College and a former senior executive at Citigroup, has assumed the presidency of William Paterson University in Wayne effective August 2, 2010. She is the institution's seventh president. Waldron served as president of Baruch College of the City University of New York (CUNY), one of the most selective public colleges in the northeast, from 2004 to 2009, and led the college to achieve national rankings in its business and public affairs programs and a place in the Princeton Review's list of the top fifteen percent of colleges in the country. Promotions and Awards | COMMENTS Joyce Luhrs On League of Women Voters Board Joyce Luhrs, president of the marketing and management firm Luhrs & Associates, has been appointed to the League of Women Voters of Northern Valley's board of directors. The Leonia resident will serve a two-year term from 2010-2012. The League of Women Voters of Northern Valley is a part of the League of Women Voters of New Jersey, a non-partisan political organization. The League of Women Voters was founded in April 1920 as a successor to the New Jersey Woman Suffrage Association. Today the League encourages informed and active participation in government and influences public policy through education and advocacy. Promotions and Awards | COMMENTS Mattawang Golf Club Staffer Wins NJ PubLinksMattawang Golf Club is celebrating Kristina Wagner's impressive victory at the recent New Jersey State Golf Association Women's Public Links tournament. Wagner, who plays out of Mattawang, shot a four-over-par 75 on June 14 at the Valley Brook Golf Club in River Vale to earn the PubLinks title. A former student of Mahlon Dow, Mattawang's Head Professional and Manager, Wagner is working this summer in the club's pro shop and as an assistant instructor in Dow's popular junior clinics. Dow runs the largest junior camp program in New Jersey. "This is a great win for Kristina," said Dow. "Although, she is relatively new to tournament golf, Kristina has had a lot of early success.
